Expiring links Feature Request

Originally from ticket #256.

Hi, This may be a stupid question.

But here it goes.

I am wanting to create expiring links in my emails. So when it is sent, they have X amount of hours to click it, or it redirects them (or doesnt work).

I know that confirmation emails do this, and I was wondering if that option would EVER be available to us as users?

I have found lots of 'expiring links' scripts or methods, but none that can be integrated into an autoresponder, which is where it counts. I want each person to get a link that expires a certain amount of time after it is sent.

Again, it might be a stupid question. I know you arent going to roll this service out just cause I mentioned it, but you were very helpful last time I had a problem, and thought you might know something about this.

Thanks

Hey Tom,

Your request DOES make sense, but, it would be very difficult to implement from our side. Even the confirmation links DON'T expire.

ALL our links are purely tracking links.

Best bet would be a script running on your server, which would do this. You would then point to a url on your server from each email you send.

Sorry I can't be more helpful on this one, but, this one is not going to happen any time soon, if at all from our side.

I am going to close this ticket, BUT, will be moving it to our feature request forum.

Kind Regards,

Richelo Killian
