How do I import my lists?

Let's list out the steps in sequence:

  1. Create the list inside Imnica Mail into which you would like to import your leads.
  2. Create all the required custom fields for the fields you want imported. The Email Address and IP Address are by default created, all other fields like "First Name", "Last Name", "Gender", "Country" etc. needs to be created.
  3. Go to support, and open a new ticket.
  4. Select > Imnica Mail - List Imports
  5. Click the next button
  6. Fill in all the fields (Please select if you have created Autoresponder messages and would like to trigger them upon import and also if you created additional custom fields if you would like them imported.
  7. Attach the CSV export of your list to the new ticket. The list must have the original subscription IP and subscription date of the subscriber for us to import it.
  8. Submit the new ticket

Please follow the above steps for each list you would like to import.

List imports will be done in no more than 48 hours.

Please Note : If you created a autoresponder series and want to use the subscriber's email address in the Autoresponder message, you need to use the %Subscriber:EmailAddress% variable from the "Subscriber Information" dropdown.

All the subscriber variables like First Name etc. needs to be selected from the "Subscriber Information" dropdown. Any variable selected from the "User Information" will display your own information.

Note: you need to include the date and ip address for all subscriptions in the csv file, or they won't import it.

    Hi Edward,

Thank you for that note. I've added the same to the article too.

The date is included but not the IP addresses, will I still be able to have my leads imported?

    Hi Terry,

I'm afraid we require both the date and the IP address to be able to import your list.

What happens if all my leads don't confirm (after a reasonable period of time) and what happens on your end? I don't see why you have to make them confirm again if you ask us to supply IP address and dates when they subscribed. Please explain this step and be specific. Thank you.

    Hi Terry,

We don't require that you send a confirmation email, unless your list doesn't have IP addresses at all. However, the IP addresses and subscription date should be actual and unique for each email address for us to be able to import it.

I'm about to sign-up to imnicamail, but I have a question. I have a list with well over 7000 subscribers. This list was gained in one time period, I have all of the details you are requesting (IP, date they signed up, region, etc). Would you be able to import this list?

coder123 don't sign up as a free account because they will all have to confirm their subscription again. If they don't you will lose out. I had 289 on my list and I had all the required information and only 13 has confirmed. There is no way for us to know if they imported all our subscribers. My advice is to not sign up as a free account, because they don't tell you everything until after you have signed up. You better get the 3.00 account so they won't do the same thing to you. I do not buy leads, my leads subscribed to me and now I can't even email them using this system. It's not a good feeling at all. You got 7,000 subscribers, if you want to keep them don't make the mistake I did. I hope this helps you.

Sagar all of my subscribers  are not there and Tessie Pesidas said that they would have to confirm again. According to your instructions above, you indicated that The list must have the original subscription IP and subscription date of the subscriber for us to import it. Here's the IP address I sent to you, this is where my subscribers came from - Original subscription IP is 174.143.13.179

I hope that we can resolve this issue and that I can get all my subscribers imported over here.Thank you very much.

Terri, I have sent out a support request yesterday. Unfortunately no answer yet. If I will sign-up more then sure I will sign-up to their best package at $26. I'm still waiting their response.

    Hi Terri,

To view the your subscriber who have not confirmed, click on the "Subscribers" tab and then select your list, click on "Add new rule" and select Subscription Status : is : Opt-in Pending, now click on "Apply Filter".

This will display all the subscribers that have not confirmed yet, they will only display on your list once they have confirmed.

Hello Raymond thank you for replying back to me. I supplied all the information that you asked for such as IP address and subscription date, etc. What bothers me is that all of my subscribers have to confirm again using your system if they were already subscribed to me already? I supplied the information according to your instructions to the letter, and only 15 have confirmed using your system. Sagar replied and said "We don't require that you send a confirmation email, unless your list doesn't have IP addresses at all. However, the IP addresses and subscription date should be actual and unique for each email address for us to be able to import it." So you see what I'm saying I have gotten three different replies that contradict each other, it seems that the three of you are making up the rules as you go along. I gave you the IP address, subscriptions date, name and email address and I would like to have my subscribers where I can email them. Not just sitting there and I can't even email them especially since I supplied the information you asked for. Please consider doing this and I look forward to hearing back from you with your decision about all of this.  Have a great day!

    Hi Terri,

    Our apologies for the confusion.

We can import lists with IPs and subscription dates only. However, if your list has those details and you are on a free account, we still send out a confirmation email.

With paid accounts, we import the list without sending a confirmation email, though the list would still need to have the IPs and subscription dates.

I hope that helps clearing the confusion :-)

It's no confusion at all for me, because I knew that you would say this. Perhaps you should do away with FREE accounts all together because you prefer paid accounts. Just be honest,  it is about the money and you know it. You never did answer my question about what happens with those on my list that don't confirm their subscription. Of course I know the answer to that. Please don't offer free account because it's obvious that you want people to pay. Just saying. Have a great day.

    Hi.

I recently moved to imnicamail from another company, and I imported my list. The list contains all the information about subscribers, like date of subsctiption, ip address, country, city, Traffic source (ad tracking basically), and so on. I submitted a request on 18th of October. But I have had no update on the matter so far, and it says that an agent is yet to be assigned to this request. Is it normal or did I missed something? Thanks in advance.

P.s I know I'm being a little impatient, but the thing is that my whole list building is at a pause rightnow because of this, so thats why. Sorry for that.

I have a maling list of close to 2000 people I have built up in Mailchimp through my shopping cart (ie. as soon as a customer purchases a product, their email address is sent to Mailchimp). This still requires an email confirm, but means that all the Confirm IPs are that of my shopping cart (getDPD.com), rather than the customers' individual IPs. Is this going to be a problem with importing my list? Thanks, Matt

    Hi there,

If your list contains signup IP address and signup date then you list can be imported.
